Mary Ann,
What David experienced is exactly what I have been going through for the last year. They finally after a nuclear stress test, a heart monitor and an ultrasound of my heart figured out what was giving me the chest pains. I can understand how very scary it is as I thought I was dying once or twice and ended up in the ER twice hooked to machines, getting tests done, and on and on...

They found with the heart monitor that my heart was skipping a lot and that it was racing at times, too. I have since been told to limit my salt intake, cut out caffeine (that includes chocolate), and to start dieting and exercising. I am on a medicine that slows my heart, too. I started out with Coreg, but it made the palpitation worse and I was so tired that I couldn't function. I am now on metoprolol and it is doing the trick for me. I get tired at night about 10, but other than that I am okay with it. It may just be the meds he is on and they need to be switched.

From what I understand the heart occassionally skips, but for some people it is more of an issue. After I realized what it was, I knew I had experienced it all of my life.

I know it is scary, but it will all be okay once they get the meds figured out.

Dear Verys
May lots of calm and perspective and peace and love surround you at the moment. Gotta love life for smacking you back to reality, don't you!!?
Take care, both of you.

That happened to my husband as well, he was still in his twenties even. turned out it was a heart murmmer that had gone heywire due to walking pneumonia. I can remember it bieng absolutely terrifying. But it sure did put a lot of things in perspective for us. Perhaps everyone needs a thing like this every once and a while to truly appreciate what they have. It is only when we understand our own mortality that we are really able to live. wishing you all the best.

My husband works in the funeral business and because of that we have learned very valuable lessons. Make sure the people you love know you love them. Your health (and life) can change in an instant...try to enjoy life...don't work so hard. Take time out for the people in your life. Sounds like your and Very David's experiences are having the same effect!

Dear Mary Ann! *HUG* Thank you for sharing with us. It's admirable that in the midst of all these unknowns you were both able to rediscover how precious life is -- how precious your love for each other is.

Please know that David (and you!) will be in my prayers.

You are my Very favorite teacher and I can't wait to see you next quarter.
Tell Very David to feel better.

I hope you get your answers soon. Mr. Crotch Curve takes medication to keep his heart from beating too fast and has two stents. Of course, Mr. Crotch Curve drinks budweiser and eats twinkies. My thoughts are definitely with the Verys. Truly they are. C. Curve.

Hope he finds out soon. I finally after years of not being sure what some of my health problems are got two diagnosis but still waiting to find out why I have a rapid heart rate, mine skips at times if it gets really high. It's a scary feeling.

Did they check to see if it was just that his heart was skipping a beat for YOU?(smiles) Kidding aside . . . I will be believing that all will work out just fine for Very David's heart - and your heart as well. xoxox

Oh! The Verys' [love] life is like a little reality show in my Very Mediocre world. I am concerned about the heart condition but delighted about the reconnection.

Thank you for the beautiful insight.

Mary Ann....That is a terrible thing to go through, but the perspective is priceless. I had my Perspective altered when Colton passed away...it has changed my life...for good!
Thoughts, prayers, and hugs!!

It is so frustrating when you go to hospital and come back with no answers! Two weeks ago we went through this very same thing twice, 2 trips to A&E by ambulance with blue flashing lights and after two short stays in hospital we still have no answers!
But as you say 'perspective' helps!
