Wise Beyond Her Years

Last night, Very Daughter and Very Mary were perusing a giant box of memorabilia - letters, photos, awards, movie stubs, hospital wrist bands - all those moments that make up the fabric of their lives. Within the plastic walls of the Rubbermaid tote, Very Mary found a letter that she wrote to herself 15 years ago, as she was embarking on the unknown adventures of adulthood. She asked Very Mother to send it to her when she thought it might be needed. One year after moving across the country to Phoenix, the letter showed up in Very Mary's mailbox.

That's a wonderful letter! It's always scary to take a big step over that fence. We went from the security of my husband having a job with an established firm to doing it on our own (with 4 kids in tow) and I'm so thankful that even though it was scary, we did it anyway. I can't imagine how our lives would be if we hadn't taken that leap of faith.
