All year long Very Mary searches for glass spice bottles, usually finding sets of 10 or 12 for about $2 while thrifting. During the summer, she grows herbs - so much yummier than powdered store bought varieties. Once harvested and dried, she crushed them, added handmade labels, and ta-dum! Easy, breezy, delicious, homegrown gift giving.

I just threw some min that I dried this summer into a pot of peas. I get it.
Do I hear mojitos being made in the kitchen? *smiles*
What wonderful little jars - and what bargains you find.
It is not the cost of a gift, it's the thought that counts, and that is priceless!
Very thoughtful! I love gifts like that.
Gifts I can use in the kitchen are a favorite of mine. You can make herb vinegars and herb infused oils too - that will cover Christmas for the next two years.
Darla
You are so clever.
I love these types of gifts the best. Heartfelt gifts full of meaning. I'm sure he loves them!
I've done that before myself!
Hey, guess what!? I'm married to a chef who used to be a soldier. :-)
