That is a Very good deal and better than chocolate, which I am not a big fan of, unless it is Hershey's...

Giddy are you?

I think sometimes those are called Friendship Bracelets. A bunch of friends traded buttons or maybe just gave you buttons and then you crocheted a bracelet made out of the ones you received.

Brought back some memories!

How cool is that! I have found the most marvelous things in button jars. Real gold jewelry, money (coins), and some rare old medals and medallions. I guess the button jar became a catch all for things over the years.

Congrats on your score. I have also peered from the outside at a jar and bought the jar for 5-6 I spotted to open it up and squeal with delight.

BTW, is that a clock face button I saw on that bracelet. Cool, does it have hands?

Love it --- love picturing the squeal and happy dance too. I think I see butterscotch bits in this one too.

"squeeeeee" as my teen says! How great to live a life where we can be so happy with such small things. I know that I ran into an item in a stash of stuff the other day that had the smallest snippet of the most divine color on it.. made me happy for days to come. Tis a gift to be simple.

Happy for your great find!

I love my button jars too! I snip the buttons off everything I cut up to weave and sort and save (savor!) them in dill pickle jars. Enormous gaudy buttons, mother of pearl buttons, glass buttons, ooh sparkly buttons, painted, framed, and enamel buttons - love 'em all!
